Dr.  Anti-discrimination students want Yunus to be the head of the interim government

Anti-discrimination student movement leader Nahid Islam has proposed the name of Nobel laureate economist Professor Muhammad Yunus as the chief adviser to the interim government to be formed to run the country after the fall of Hasina. He urged the President to form an interim government headed by Professor Yunus as soon as possible.



 Mr. Islam, one of the coordinators of the movement, proposed the name of the chief adviser in a video message published on social media Facebook early Tuesday morning.


 Coordinator Asif Mahmood and Abu Bakr Majumdar were also present with him at that time.


 Mr. also said that they have already talked with Professor Yunus about becoming the head of the interim government. Islam


 "Dr. We have also spoken to Muhammad Yunus. He agreed to take this important responsibility to protect Bangladesh on the call of the students," said coordinator Nahid Islam.


 The anti-discrimination student movement also said that the names of the remaining members of the advisory council will be announced soon.


 Earlier, Mr. at the press conference yesterday. Islam said, "We will not support any kind of government unless it is supported or proposed by the student-citizens. It may be an army-backed government or a President-led government. Students will not accept such a government.”
